We have made it through another year, which was rich, interesting, and full of many blessings. Taking stock of the entire year, we can see that the year turned out to be very diverse:

I want to start with the most important events right off the bat, this year, one of our players signed the most important “contract” in his life. This is not a super proposal from the soccer grandees, it’s much more important … He was baptized. His decision to follow Christ was declared to the whole world by making a vow to be faithful to God.

It is a great joy that the majority of Christian soccer clubs united for the first time ever and created a “Christian League” among children. Several tournaments have already been played and we continue to develop in this activity.

The coach of the adult team shares his blessings for the year he lived through: “The greatest blessing is the presence of an adult team in our club. Its development, both in soccer and in the spiritual sense, is a gratefulness and at the same time a prayer request. ”

We love traveling with the team, it’s a great time. Speaking of this year, it will be easier to say where we could not go to. Kiev, Kharkiv, Odessa, Mariupol and these are just the big cities that we have visited for recreation, soccer games and just to catch up with our friends.

Maybe it sounds strange, but a great blessing for one of the age groups of our team was a negative performance in the championship. For the games that were played, the team scored zero points … The team is pretty much discouraged and I understand the guys and their concerns. So, what’s the point of this? We began to communicate more, and at the beginning we tried to figure out the reasons for our failures, and later began to have more frank conversations in which the coach and the boys could talk about more important things related to their families, personal relationships with family and personal relationships with God. We try to establish the tradition of weekly meetings outside of the soccer time, where we can discuss our concerns over a cup of tea after the practice. Who can say that God is not good enough or that He cares so little about His own?

I believe that this will be the biggest mistake in life, because God is good and His mercy lasts forever! Learning to keep track of His work in our lives and our joy will have no limits. I want to finish the letter with the request to continue to pray for our team, boys and coaches. We believe and know that God is in control, He knows our worries and requests. We pray for the faithfulness of the coaches in their work and, that more young athletes would start to build their relationship with the Living God.
