On Friday and Saturday (12-13th of April), the prayer seminar of the Association of Bible Missionary Churches of Ukraine (ABMCU) took place in Zalissja, Rivne region. Brothers and sisters from 7 churches met to listen to the Word, to pray, and to fast about the spread of the Gospel on the territory of Ukraine and beyond its borders. Participants were sharing with their church’s’ gratefulness and needs, had many conversations, worshiped God, had personal time with God, looked at presentations about missionary work in some Asian countries, and rested on the beautiful camp territory.
Brother Igor Plyva, pastor at the church “Light of the Gospel”, taught about God’s sovereignty and human participation in mission through prayer. The key phrase of the seminar was: “Prayer is not a mission, but it is God’s given ‘spiritual weapon’ of a Christian (Eph. 6:10-18) which helps in missionary work.” Therefore, local churches can participate in mission partially through prayer and are responsible to do it.
On Sunday, the 14th of April, the seminar ended at the church “Communion of the Good Shepherd” with a mutual lunch.
The next seminar will happen in fall. We will send you the exact dates and location. The applications for the seminar can be sent even now. Join us!
