The participants of the missionary conference, which took place in the city of Kamenskoye at the end of November, had an opportunity to think through this important question. The small church House of Agape got to thinking about how to become a church of the Great Commission, and how they can go about doing it on this stage in their own city.
The brothers were invited to the conference as the guest-speakers: Igor Plyva from Kiev and Sergey Alenov from Rovno. They taught from the Scripture on what it has to say about God and His desire to be glorified in all nations. At the conference, people also got to hear from the speakers about nations that are in great need of the Gospel and salvation. Afterwards, there was a special time of a corporate prayer for these nations, and for those brothers and sisters who serve among some people groups.
Throughout the conference, there was a special atmosphere of warmth, care and love. This can be made possible only among believers who are united by the love of Christ. But, the informal part of fellowship and communication was especially valuable for everyone. Basically, it all was going on at someone’s house over a delicious food. At such meetings, one could hear a lot of testimonies about how our Almighty Father works through His faithful children. Since many church members were present at such fellowships, they were greatly encouraged to be on fire, working for the glory of God.
“Even if there is only a few of you, but you’re willing to serve God, this is in no way should stop you. Pray earnestly for missionaries and other nations, generously give to the cause of spreading the gospel, look for the opportunity to serve, and God will call you where you are most needed. The mission is the participation of His chosen people in spreading the message of the Savior to all nations,” – the speakers elaborated on this topic all through the conference.
Let’s pray for each other, so that our churches will become more mission-minded and that our hearts will be burdened for other nations!
