We’re a few days away from the beginning of the XXIV missionary conference, which will be held in Rivne. This is our annual eight-day holiday of the Great Commission. We are putting the finishing touches on the event – the missionary committee regularly gets together to organize things, the sisters are dealing with a festive dinner, the hosts are “rolling out the red carpet,” the Sunday school is pretty busy with sharing stories about the missionaries, the ministers are desperate to buy tickets for their travel, the church is going to serve the missionaries, and the missionaries are getting ready to bless the church with their testimonies.
Actually this year, we especially can sense how small we are! It will be a church conference… It has nothing to do with association, a union, or a mega denomination, but it has to do only with one ordinary community with a sanctuary that can fit 200 people. And there’re so many people out there who’re willing to come and join us! How amazing it is that God has given our local church such a great honor – to host the ministers of God during the conference, who take the Gospel to various nations. These days, we’re looking forward to seeing almost as many of them as members in the church! This is a great opportunity to pray for the extension of our boundaries… and our walls. And even better, not just here, but everywhere: on every street and in every city will be a church that remembers the command of Christ and is willing to preach the Word of God to all nations.
We cannot fully grasp of what God does in Ukraine, but we are happy to be a part of His great plan and His Great Commission! We believe that by praying for ministers and turning our pledge-of-faith cards in to support the missionary at the ends of the earth, we fulfill the will of our dear Savior, Who said: Go and make disciples of all the nations!
