By God’s mercy, we had the opportunity not only to teach Christian ethics, but to share our experience with other teachers.
In October of last year, God allowed me to participate in the international, scientifically-practical conference “The modern world of blind: Character formation in the informational society for special needs personalities,” which took place in Klevan’s orphanage for children with sight defects. During this conference, I introduced the lesson in Christian ethics on the topic: “Human in God’s world” for 5 graders. The golden verse of the lesson is: “I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well” (Psalm 139:14). When colleagues said that this lesson touched their hearts and made them meditate on spiritual questions, I felt that this was an important and valuable lesson for me.
In February 2013, the seminar on the topic, “Spiritual bringing up of personality,” took place in Klevan’s orphanage on initiative of methodologists of the Rivne Institute of Postgraduate Education. The teachers from orphanages of the Rivne region, who teach moral and ethical classes, were invited to this event. The goal of the seminar is to show the need for Christian ethics class in all orphanages of the region.
The open lesson on the topic “Wisdom as God’s gift,” which I taught to the 5th graders, called children and adults to seek pearls of real wisdom in their lives. This wisdom starts with God’s fear and is described in the Bible.
