The calendar year in the ministry of the Christian pedagogical magazine Word to the Teacher ended with the publication of the fourth issue of the series Heaven. According to our readers, the Lord has helped the editorial staff and authors share in an accessible and fascinating way the biblical truth about Jesus Christ as the Messenger of Heaven who came to earth to fulfill His Heavenly Father’s will, which is to reveal Him to people, become our Savior, and show to all believers the way to the eternal heavenly land.
The decision to print one of the Psalms on a colored tab in each of this year’s issues turned out to be quite successful. These are Psalms 91, 103, 84 and 139. For many people in our troubled times, these biblical texts are the source of peace, joy and consolation in God. The issue #4 contains another tab – a booklet-guide from the Exhibition of Painting: The Life of Jesus Christ in the Works of Art. The brothers and sisters of Hope to People Mission and the Community of the Good Shepherd Church are actively involved in evangelism through these wonderful paintings. We hope that after the distribution of this magazine, more people will get interested in the exhibition, and will be able to hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ. For example, after the publication of this issue, we already received invitations and have done exhibitions in schools of the village Malinsk and Koloverty, Rivne region, as well as in the village Yarun, Zhytomyr region. About 800 children and adults had the opportunity to hear the Good News.
On December 17, 2021, the general topic for 2022, – The Spiritual Life of Man and Society was approved at the meeting of the magazine’s editorial board. It actually rhymes with the title of the new model of curriculum for grades 5-6, which is submitted to the MES and will be one of the programs of choice for the moral-oriented course, provided by a typical educational program.
There have been some changes in the composition of the magazine. Due to family circumstances, Nadiya Dolya, who has been carrying out a role of an editor-in-chief for all previous years, can no longer serve, so Arkady Slyoza, the head of the Christian Ethics Department of the Hope to People Mission, will take her place to carry on with the ministry.
