Football unites countries, God unites hearts. Christian football camp, which took place in Polyana, Transcarpathian region, from 9 to 16 July, brought together a lot of hearts from different countries.

It has never been such diversity in the structure of the staff teams and children. To the staff of IPO “Hope to people” and the team from Second Presbyterian Church from Memphis there has joined the team from Thailand. Representatives of the Covenant Church from Khon Kaen and organization Campus Outreach, Khon Kaen have been to Ukraine for the first time and took part in conducting this camp. Among children, there were representatives of the graduates of boarding schools from Rivne region, orphans, children from poor families, the winners of the Olympiad “Bible scholars” as well as a group of children from Nikopol.

The camp was full of God’s presence from the very beginning. Our friends from Thailand could not get visas for a long time, although the tickets were already on hand. By the grace of God, they have received documents and were able to come. The bus, which carried children, was broken having passed only 50 km. It’s a miracle that in 2 hours they were able to find a new bus and a driver who agreed to stay with the camp all week. The hand of God was visible in everything.

Since it was a football camp, there were lots of trainings. Bible lessons were based on the football game too. The themes were Bible, prayer, church, transmission of the Gospel and the practical life with Christ. Most children were touched by testimonies of team members, by their stories of reconciliation with the Lord.

There was a European football championship and a championship in table tennis at the camp. Children also played camp games, earned points for the discipline and cleanliness of their rooms, to take part in the auction at the end of the camp. Team from Nikopol glorified God with new songs every day. Together children went on trips and to the swimming pool. It was a time of active leisure and communication.

We thank the Lord for this camp. We thank everyone who supported us and prayed for us. We appreciate the participation of teams from Memphis and Khon Kaen for their devoted to God hearts.

Pray for the children who heard the Gospel in the camp, so that many of them had the courage to make a decision to follow the Lord.

Blessings!
