The end of 2025 in our Christian Floorball Club SKY was, as always, full of various events.
In early December, our junior team went to Lviv for the second round of the Ukrainian championship in their age category (under 14). These boys and girls are participating in the Ukrainian championship for the first season, and in the first round they lost all the matches. This time, all the losses were on the first day again. And in the evening, the coaches had a good time studying the Bible with them, where they talked about how with God we can overcome various obstacles, that when we are weak, God is strong. And God gave us the first two victories of the season the next day. For the children, this was a clear testimony of God’s power! Also, as always, it was a great time where we could go for a walk together and build relationships with children.

A week later, our team of older children went to the same city of Lviv, where in the same gym they took part in the second round of the first league of the Ukrainian championship. The teenage team, on the contrary, won all the games in the first round, and then we talked with them about not attributing to ourselves the victories that God gives us, but praising Him for it and playing for Him. And this time, although on the first day of the competition we won two matches, the selfless game for God was not noticeable. And in the evening, we read about the character that Jesus showed when he persevered to the end and endured extremely brutal and deadly suffering on the cross to save us from our sins, because he loved us undeservedly. The next day we experienced our first defeat of the season, but we praised God for that too, because He knows better what and when to give us.

And in the last days of the year, we held a traditional team-wide Christmas tournament. We gathered children and youth from all teams, divided them into teams so that each of them had participants from different categories, and in unconventional costumes and Christmas hats, they played and had fun. For the younger ones, this is a very good opportunity to play with the older ones and learn from them, and for the older ones, to learn to help the smaller and weaker ones so that they grow. Then we took the Christmas candy Candy Cane and explained its meaning, thereby conveying the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ and the true essence of Christmas. At the end, everyone received such candies with wishes to remember what Christmas is and why Jesus came to this world.

We thank God and everyone who prayed and supported us during this month and this year. We ask for your continued prayerful support, because without God we are weak and powerless:
Please pray
– that He may grow the leadership team in relationship with Himself;
– that we may show our loving God to those around us;
– that they may also come to know Him and become His children.
