The camp for families on the wheelchairs “Heart + Heart” in this year it was the anniversary, the fifth! We wanted a special atmosphere and actions of God. As in a previous years, we wanted to give the families an outdoor recreation time together, communication with friends over a cup of tea and pondering about God’s design for couple.
For the third year God gave us the opportunity to meet at the camp ground in Zalesie. We were accepting a 9 disabled couples, one of them came from Transcarpathia (south-west of Ukraine). There were a 25 volunteers helping and serving to these families (including children). Every day there was a new topic and discussion – a time of reflection and personal revelations from the Lord. We had in the camp a special couple – they both over 50s years old and they are married just for three months. During their mutual life the spouses had never read the Word of God together, despite the fact that they are both members of the same church. The camp became for them not only the beginning of spiritual intimacy, but also the inspiration to be a support to each other. One more pair has drawn our attention: nearly sightless husband and a wife on the wheelchair – cerebral palsy. He is a child of believers, who backslid from the Lord, she is a member of the church. Before a departure, he said: “I am surprised by your attitude to us, sincerity and fairness in action. Before that I had other examples…”
For seven days we were surrounded by an enormous grace – were ere all fed, everyone had where to lay their head and to nourish the soul. Thanks a lot to our Lord for such a gift to us, for people who can not afford to go outdoors. Thanks to those who has donated finances – your work is before the eyes of the Father, and we believe that it is not in vain. We need your prayers too, and we will be happy to any partaking in this ministry. May Almighty God be glorified through our lives!
