That was the main theme which we studied for a week during adolescence camp.
The Church “Resurrection” of Rivne held the youth camp at the base in the village of Zalesie. The leaders of teenager’s ministry of our church had a great opportunity to be in closer communication with children and young people ,to learn together and practice the Word of God.
Every morning in the camp began with sport exercises, and then lessons in individual groups, after that all we gathered for a general lesson. Teens with great interest came to the Bible study, spent a lot of time in communication with each other. Also there were classes on needlework, in which teenagers independently produced bracelets and other jewelry, and sports camp, and board games. There wasn’t a day which passed without competitions in team sports, developing in children a sense of unity and mutual assistance. Each evening, the team prepared the scenes created by the children; it was particularly, interesting and exciting. After each performance was a sermon which displayed the main topic of the day. These topics were: how to remain faithful to God in the family, in relations with the opposite sex, the difficulties and blessings of forgiveness. Also we held separate talks for boys and girls and discussed the questions which interest them.
During the day, each child collected the camp “money,” which could be bought presents itself at an auction held at the end of camp. “Money” could be earned for a good behavior, regular attendance the charge, shared lessons, taking the initiative and help in camp affairs.
The important place after dinner was bonfire, where they sang songs with a guitar, praising God, performed a funny competition, interesting dialogues, where everyone shared the answers to their prayers, cases of life, supporting the action of God in it. It was a simple communication coming from the heart.
These lovely spent with God days, the close companionship, instructive lessons, unique atmosphere, all this has brought the most expensive to the Lord fruit – 3 girls repented, taking in theirs hearts our Savior Jesus Christ!!! This is the result for which we do this work of ministry to teenagers, that they were able to come to the Lord at an early age and to live life in His glory!
