All-Ukrainian Day of Preschool Education took place at the Kiev center for kids and youth on the 22nd of September, 2017. Delegations from all regions of Ukraine were invited. They were educators and musical directors, supervisors and heads of preschool educational institutions, representatives of the city, district, and regional departments of education, and people working in the field of preschool education in Ukraine. About 800 people were present.
The ministry of education Liliya Grinevich welcomed the participants. She thanked all the attendants for their inspired work of training the growing generation of the Ukrainians and handed the certificates of acknowledgement over to many teachers. Tamara Panasyuk, head of the preschool education department at the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, has been an organizer and idea initiator for many years. Last year editorial office of the Christian magazine Word to a Teacher was invited and presented at this event for the first time. The 4th issue of the magazine in 2016, published the interview with Tamara Panasyuk called “Talk About God with Children” under the heading “Expert View”. Mrs. Panasyuk said she strongly believed that “it is very important to instill Christian values into the worldview of a child since the early years of the kids’ life.” It should be noted that the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine cooperates with the all-Ukrainian Charity Foundation Eastern European Humanitarian Mission in spreading of education literature on spiritual and moral guidance of children based on Christian values at the educational institutions. High quality printing products were presented at this event. These included recommendations and guidelines for teachers and educators. Representatives of the Ministry and regional departments of educations who did this work actively, received diplomas on behalf of the foundation.
I would like to mention a high level of the speakers, specialists, representatives of preschool education of Belarus, motivational speaker psychologist and Doctor of Education, Gennadiy Chepurny, who presented several video presentations on how to preserve a spiritual balance of the teachers in different life’s circumstances and how children, unlike parents, accept children with health challenges into their circles.
