Our brother Yaroslav Dovhyy, despite a difficult passing year, continues to serve in the young church in Caserta near Naples. The Lord helped Yaroslav realize his responsibility not only to the Slavic people but also to the local population. During the year, he and his team gave away 3,000 New Testaments and invited new people to the Italian church, which also serves as a gathering place for the local Ukrainian community. As a result, 90 new Italians attended church for the first time and 18 people in the Italian church were baptized.

The Lord blessed Yaroslav with an opportunity to participate in the pastoral conference of the Italian Biblical Brotherhood in Rome where he met many people seeking to do ministry work in Italy.

The use of electronic messaging communications for evangelism and study of the Word has become popular during the quarantine period. Thank God for brother Grygoryy from Perugia who is dedicated to leading weekly online Bible study with people from the Caserta church.

Due to the pandemic, Yaroslav had more time to invest in mentoring his young brother Volodymyr, who is preparing to be ordained a deacon. Thank God for brother Grygoryy from Perugia who is dedicated to leading weekly online Bible study with people from the Caserta church.

In recent months, of course, Yaroslav has been working hard to help Ukraine and Ukrainians. He took the opportunity to hold several meetings with refugee children. In addition, he often provides informational assistance to refugees who do not know where to turn for help or are looking for a church in Italy. He also sent humanitarian aid to Ukraine from Italian churches who showed great sympathy.

Please pray that God would continue to lead Yaroslav’s family in the ministry, that He would strengthen the believers in Caserta and that He would bring newly saved people! Please also pray for their contemplated joint ministry with the Italian team to establish an Italian Bible Church in Rome and for Yaroslav to start studying at the Italian seminary so that he could learn to preach in Italian as soon as possible, because there is a great need for it.
