Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field”

Outreach Through Summer Camps

Ukraine

After a difficult year of quarantine restrictions, our Christian Ethics department had blessed possibilities to do three camps in a picturesque village of Polyana in the Carpathian mountains last summer. Our department serves schoolchildren and teachers of Ukraine. We are thankful to the Lord for every brother and sister who invested their efforts and resources for these camps to take place.

First camp was for the orphans and children from needy and unfortunate families who live in the orphanages and shelters for minors. The camp program was “What is your path?”

A great camp was done thanks to a joint dedicated participation of members of the new planted church God’s Grace, Warsaw, and the team from Grace Family Church, Sacramento, USA. We are thankful to brothers and sisters for a significant assistance in serving and helping our worker in Warsaw Aleksandr Ilyin.

Armenia

Our ministers Sevak and Nina Parvanyan participated in outreach camps for youth and in summer camp for families that had suffered from the war conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh.

Ministry to the pagan nation of Kurds and Yazidis living in the mountains continues. Summer mini day camps were held for the children from isolated Yazidi settlements. A group of people from Kurdish settlements participated in the camp of the Yerevan church. The camp was held by the lake Sevan. Our Yazidi brothers and sisters serve poor Armenians and preach at a subsidized hostel and in poor neighborhoods of the town of Wanadzor.

Our workers Karo Stepanyan serves the Assyrians, Kurds and Yazidis who live in the Ararat valley. A small summer camp was help for them as well.

Magazine Word to a Teacher

Magazine Word to a Teacher #3/2021 was issued last summer.  This is the third magazine from the series on the Heavens. Its theme is “Price of the Heavens.” In the first two issues we spoke that heaven is not a myth, not a fairytale, but a spiritual reality, we discussed who lives and what happens in heaven, therefore it raises the following question: “How to get to heaven? What is its price?” Materials on these topics, interviews with creative people, plans of the lessons in different subjects and Christian Ethics, deep study of certain Biblical doctrines, information about important educational events are contained in this issue…

Baptism of New Believers in Armenia

Two baptisms in a new church in Gyumri and in the village of Nshavan in Armenia have become a huge encouragement in the ministry. Our brother Sevak visits the church in Gyumri and brothers Karo and Araik serve in the second one. It is such a joy to see the souls that our brothers preach the Gospel to, accept the Word and testify about their faith in front of the whole spiritual and physical world. After the recent war, many of these believers came to Christ through the experienced sufferings and loss of loved ones. They received both comfort and salvation in Christ. Praise God for this!

Arab Ministry

God expanded the boundaries of Arab ministry in Ukraine last summer. You might be interested to know why Ukraine has Arabs. These are refugees, students, businessmen, and tourists from the East and every year their number in big cities grows. Unlike in their native countries, one can approach them in Ukraine on the street, meet, and talk about God. For this purpose two our Arabic-speaking ministers work in two big cities. Please pray for the development of this ministry, for the start of media ministry in Arabic, for the families and material needs of the ministers, for new workers who will be willing and ready to come to God’s field.
