We’re thankful to God that you keep track of our updates and are looking forward to the news from the mission fields where our missionaries serve!
I will rejoice in the LORD, and rejoice in the God of my salvation,
Habakkuk 3:18.
“The Riches of Glory for the Gentiles” (Colossians 1:27)
The true riches are not in earthly well-being, but in RELATIONSHIP with GOD, who is the God of all, and this is only possible through Christ who dwells in us. We had an opportunity to see these riches at the mission conference that ran from October 30 through November 7, 2021, as we all fellowshipped with those whom God sends into His fields. We have heard and seen the richness of God’s work and influence through missionaries who have shared with us the joy of His miracles. Their testimonies motivated us to dedicate ourselves to Him where we live now and where He may send us soon. God blessed us to fellowship in simplicity and sincerity, and to pray that He would prepare and send workers to His field to continue His work of salvation.
Persian Ministry
While our earthly homeland is very slow to accept our brother into the ranks of its citizens, the Church of Christ does not consider him an outsider. Brother M. became a member of the local church in Rivne, and in the fall of this year, he was ordained as a pastor-evangelist, because the work he does among Farsi-speaking people is in fact requires that. What made the event significant was that it has taken place in the days of the mission conference in the presence of pastors and ministers not only from different cities, but from different countries and nations, united in pursuit of the Great Commission. Please pray for a mission trip of our brother to serve in one of the Caucasian countries.
Uighur Ministry
Finally, the event for which the family of our servant to the Uighur people has been preparing for a long time has taken place! They already moved to one of the countries of Western Asia, where a large Uighur diaspora lives. Probing trips have been made, housing issues have been resolved, children have been moved to an online school and the entire family has finally reunited after a long flight to a new place of ministry. Praise the Lord! Our minister is also very grateful to all who support his work prayerfully and financially. It is important!
Arab Ministry
Our employee, who is originally from Morocco, has already started serving Arabic-speaking people in one of the largest cities in Ukraine. After becoming a Christian, this brother moved to Ukraine, where he got married. And for some time, he participated in the translation of Christian literature. In large cities of Ukraine, there are many visitors from the Arab world. Our brother soon realized that he could not sit around and quietly watch as people from countries closed to the gospel continued to walk in darkness, even in the Christian country. So, at some point he felt called by the Lord to serve as an evangelist. Therefore, together with his Christian wife and four young children, they took a step of faith, and this summer began working toward starting a small group, and later a new Arab church.
Back to Yakutia?
Lord, please turn this question mark into an exclamation mark! Our brother, Andriy has been praying fervently for a long time and is willing to visit people he met on his previous mission trips to Yakutia, with whom he constantly communicates online. We came to a conclusion that this winter, a trip to Yakutia is necessary because these people are in need of personal conversations, and Andriy is looking to edify and encourage three Yakuts who have repented. Besides that, in each of the 23 settlements that Andriy visited with the gospel, God picked a “man of peace,” namely, someone who had stayed after the evangelism and asked questions, wanted to be prayed for and asked for the New Testament and has been communicating with Andriy online throughout the year and is looking forward to seeing him again. Please pray that this year’s trip in the winter season will become a reality! It is very important not to lose touch with Yakut friends and not let their relationships be neglected. There is also a huge need to cover the fuel expenses so that hundreds of frosty kilometers would be passed and that those who live literally on the end of the earth would be reached.
Christmas Outreach
Our missionaries work in different cultures and regions. The Christmas holidays are a great opportunity to visit the homes of unbelievers and gather children for traditional winter celebrations to tell them the true, biblical meaning of Christmas. Many of those people, who are served by our ministers, live on the brink of poverty, especially it refers to children in Middle East refugee camps affected by the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, infants in poor remote villages of Central Asia, and children from the low-income families in isolated settlements of Yakutia. That’s why we want our evangelists to have some small gifts as they plan to make Christmas visits throughout January. Often, it is not a traditional bag of sweets, but bread, a bag of cereal, flour, a bottle of vegetable oil, socks, mittens or a set of crayons. Dear friends, we desperately need your help! It would be great if you could participate in this cause with your money and prayers for the glory of God!
Session: Review of the Old Testament
In the fall, a session Review of the Old Testament has taken place in the Rivne Bible College. The classes have been taught by Ruslan Kachur, a teacher from the Grace Bible Seminary in Kyiv. Thirty students had a wonderful opportunity to deeply examine the ancient times and look at the history of mankind from its very beginning to the birthday of Jesus Christ. It was an incredible journey through every book of the Old Testament. We continue to pray for the development of the ministry of the Bible College, as the next session is scheduled for the end of January 2022, the Review of the New Testament. The pastor from Kyiv, Vitaliy Fomin, is invited to teach on this topic.
We Study Together
Our department of Christian ethics organized for teachers at the municipal institution Klevan special school # 1 of Rivne Regional Council, working with special children, refresher courses on Techniques and Strategies of Behavioral Therapy, Functional Communication for Visually Impaired Children. The main speaker was a friend of our mission, Doctor of Neuropsychology, behaviorist, Teresa Cianciolo, from East Albany, Vermont, USA.
Support of Migrant Family
We are sincerely grateful to everyone who responded to the need for a large family of migrants from the Donetsk region. Mykhaylo, Natalya and older children became members of the local church in Rivne and take an active part in the ministry. For quite a long time, they rented a house, and were always looking for the cheaper one, because there are six children in the family with one parent who works. This year, by His grace, the government company, where Mykhaylo works, allotted the family a three-bedroom townhouse in a new complex. However, they can’t move into a new place, because they still need to complete some construction work inside: connect all communications and finish interior works. At the same time, they must pay for the rent of another accommodation where the family still lives. Some of the work has already been done, but the temperature in the apartment is still 9 ºC, and the floor is not finished yet in two rooms. Please keep praying for the funds to be raised to complete the work in a new townhouse.
