Dear Friends, we would like to with you some news about our brother’s ministry in Turkey.

April was the month of Muslim sacred fasting. At this time, people suddenly become more pious, and because of hunger and thirst, more irritable. During the day there is silence everywhere, but in the evening tables are set in every house and public institution. Our brother and minister, who regularly visits the Uyghurs, decided to support his new friends this year and also fasted with them. It was a good opportunity to build closer relationships. They all know that our brother is a Christian and that he fasted out of respect for them. It opened many doors and provided many additional opportunities for communication.

At the end of spring, our brother once again went to the destroyed by earthquake areas where Uzbeks live. He preached the Good News to them and gave them players with audio recordings of the Gospel, groceries, and basic necessities. Pray that the Lord will touch the hearts of these people through this terrible disaster!

The Lord blesses the ministry and sends helpers. Some families come to serve for a certain time, and some already live in Turkey. Regular meetings are very encouraging and strengthening. Now, when our minister goes on trips, he is not alone. The exciting thing is that those Uyghurs and Uzbeks, to whom they go, have become more open to the Word, and the Lord is softening their hearts. Praise God!

Several families are served by our brother and his family. Children play together, women communicate with each other, and men have time for deep spiritual reflection. Such meetings are a specific feature of the local culture, which our minister regularly uses. These families know that our brother and his family are Christians, but they gladly make connections and are willing to communicate.

The minister’s family needs constant prayer support, it can be difficult for children to adapt to a foreign country. In September, the youngest son will have to go to the first grade. This is a big stress, but we believe that the Lord will take care and arrange everything. The eldest son has already finished the 9th grade with honors at a distance school. During the holidays, our brother’s older children visited a Christian camp, where they had a great time.

Please continue to pray for our brother, his family, and their ministry!
