The long-awaited and so fleeting vacation has passed, the second half of August is already preparation for the new season and the resumption of training.
In early August, a traditional holiday camp was held in Zhorany (Shatsk Lakes). Usually, children and parents come together in such camps. In total, there are not many of us, no more than 20. The goal of the camp is to relax the body with benefits for the soul.
In Zhorany, we live in two houses on the shore of the lake, swim, walk, play volleyball, cook food on a campfire, sunbathe… And every evening we gather for a Bible lesson. “Practical piety” was our theme this year. How successful the camp was, its participants will say better:

“Hurray! We are back in Zhorany! We have been waiting for this trip for a whole year, and despite the pessimistic forecasts of the weather forecasters, we were hoping for good weather. We did not just hope, but sincerely prayed that God would allow us to swim in the lake and lie on the grass. And our prayers were heard!!!
Uncle Sasha was the director, preacher, driver, trainer, educator, cook (4 times!!!). Every evening, both children and adults had delicious spiritual food. We listened to various Bible stories and reflected on what piety is and how to apply it in everyday life. There was something to think about, to ask ourselves the question: are you not just showing off your piety? What are the motives of your piety and how does it glorify God?”

“The camp was really cool! The food was really tasty. We swam a lot. And the Bible lessons were really interesting. If you had a problem, you could always ask for help. In this camp, I understood the meaning of the word “piety.”

“Our trip to Svityaz was a real blessing and left many bright memories. All the time spent together was filled with joy, unity and gratitude.
It was especially nice to swim in the clean, transparent water of the lake. The nature around inspired peace, and the coolness of the water was refreshing after active football matches. Playing football, we not only improved our skills, but also developed team spirit, mutual understanding and support for each other.
I would like to separately recall the Bible lesson we spent together. It was a time when we stopped, opened the Word of God and thought about what is really important. We reflected on how to live by faith every day – not only on the field, but also in relationships, in elections, in everyday situations. These reflections helped us better understand that God wants to see in us not only strong players, but also faithful disciples of Christ.
This trip was not just a vacation, but a time of spiritual renewal. We are grateful to God for the opportunity to be together, to grow as a team and as brothers in Christ”.

“Uncle Sasha, thank you very much for this camp! I really liked it. Especially that we studied the Word of God. I also liked that when we arrived, we were greeted by a picturesque landscape and a wonderful house, beautiful nature and clean air and a lake. Thank you for letting us go to the store and feeding us. Thank God that He created such beauty, that there were no missiles flying over our heads and that everything was calm for us. I also want to thank you for your patience and your wonderful Bible lessons, and for taking me with you”.
