The ministry of our brother Mani Mohammadi is aimed at preaching the gospel to people in Iran, Afghanistan, Turkey, Armenia, and other countries that understand the Persian language. In recent months, brother Mani and the mission team have been actively working to develop ministry among the Iranian, Afghan, Tajik, and other Muslim communities in the diaspora, including those living in the United States. Missionaries not only spread the Word of God but also support leaders of local Christian churches, develop online ministries, and organize churches and groups in rough regions of the world.
Preaching and Making Media Content
Since most of our brothers and sisters live in conditions of repression, an important part of the work is creating media content and its broadcast via the Internet and satellite television. Brother Mani records sermons on various platforms — Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, and Google — explaining the Word of God. Recently he started a series based on the Epistle to the Galatians, designed for 27 sermons. Brother Mani has already spoken to some of them, but the limited resources of the studio and the need to travel far to record videos make the process difficult. Setting up a studio remains a great need for brother, as it will ensure the effectiveness of the ministry, allowing him to preach to those who in their countries cannot attend worship services in person due to risks to life and freedom.
In addition to the videos, brother Mani conducts an online Bible study class every Friday, where his students take turns studying and interpreting Scriptures. Every Monday the meetings are held specifically for prayers and expressing gratitude, which helps unite Christians from different countries who are facing persecution because of their faith. Brother Mani also supports about 60 disciples and leaders from Iran, Turkey, and Afghanistan through individual meetings that promote their spiritual growth and provide pastoral care.
Planting Churches in Iran, Turkey and Armenia
The ministry of brother Mani is called “Face to Face.” It helps local churches grow and supports communities facing serious challenges. In Turkey, the church in Vani under the leadership of brother A. is a meeting place for Iranians. The city, located only 90 km from the Iranian border, is of strategic importance for the ministry. This church needs funding, in particular, to rent a space for regular meetings. Another community in Armenia, in Yerevan, led by Brother S., serves local Iranian refugees and Indian migrants who are open to Christianity. Ten new converts were baptized this year.
In different parts of Iran, churches are growing in very difficult circumstances. Thus, in the north of the country, the church under the leadership of brother H. conducts monthly baptisms, preaches, and gathers the community for evangelism and Bible study. In the south of the country, the church is being built around the family of Sister F., who takes an active part in preaching and attracting new disciples. Please pray for a group of sisters who had their phones confiscated. One sister is in prison, and several others are on parole, awaiting trial for their Christian faith. Also, pray for the two leaders who were forced to leave their homeland due to persecution this year.
Distribution of the Bibles
An important part of missionary service is the distribution of Bibles and theological literature for the training of new converts. In the last month alone, 16,000 copies of the New Testament were delivered to the warehouses of the Iranian mission, bringing the total number of books distributed since 2020 to 36,000. Up to 1,000 more copies of the Gospel of John are planned to be published soon. However, the local police closed several warehouses belonging to Christian communities, so the security of storage and distribution remains an urgent problem.
Mission among Afghan Christians and Refugees
Afghan Christians remain one of the most persecuted communities. During the rule of the Taliban, believers are subjected to brutal persecution and arrests. Many of them are in critical condition. In particular, one of the leaders of the Afghan house church, brother Sh., the father of five children, is forced to go into hiding after being imprisoned and having all his property confiscated. His family was taken out of Afghanistan to Iran for safer shelter.
The Persian mission continues to support Afghan Christians spiritually and financially, facilitates the secret departure of believers from the country, and also encourages them to pray for peace and security for this community so that they have the opportunity to practice their faith freely.
New Missionary Opportunities in the USA
In the United States, brother Mani is actively working to establish a studio and organize a local ministry. He regularly visits Christian churches and missions in Florida, Orlando, Seattle, and other cities, sharing about the purpose of the Persian ministry and collecting financial help to support it. About 40% of the required resources have already been provided, but the needs remain high.
To continue his ministry among Iranians and Afghans, brother Mani applied for asylum in the United States. During this period, he hopes to establish a house church among the local Iranian and Afghan immigrants. There are now more than a million Iranians living in the United States, creating great ministry opportunities. Brother Mani prays for new contacts and partners who are ready to support the Persian ministry, help in the planting of the church, and the expansion of God’s Kingdom.
A Call for Support and Prayer
Hope to People Mission is extremely grateful for the continued support from our brothers and sisters around the world to achieve our mission goals. The unity and cooperation of believers contribute to the fulfillment of God’s plan, as described in the Book of Nehemiah.
Despite the challenges and limited resources, the Persian ministry continues to grow and spread the gospel, reaching more and more people in countries where there is a great threat to Christians. Missionaries believe that this work can bring light and peace to the lives of those who live in darkness, and help everyone find their way to God.
