The winter session at Rivne Bible College was another blessing for both students and teachers. The subject Survey of the New Testament this time has been taught by a pastor from Kyiv, Vitaly Fomin.

Students, in particular, considered the issues of God’s inspiration and authoritativeness of the Holy Scriptures, the canon of the New Testament, its cultural and historical background. Each book of the New Testament was studied, and in the end, everyone had a complete picture of all 27 books.

And of course, this session was not without adventures that were caused by weather conditions: as the roads were covered with snow, for several days it was near to impossible to get to the campsite by car. The brothers had to take up shovels and clear the road from snow, as well as to help the cars that got stuck get free. However, this only got them pumped up and gave a sense of unity. One evening the electricity went off as students were holding a “baby shower” for a family of students from Poland. Although the holiday went great, 4 hours in the dark without electricity, when a strong wind howls behind the window and the building begins to noticeably cool down, caused everyone to have serious concerns, that were eventually overcome with prayer.

Students and personnel had the opportunity to pray a lot each morning as worship began with a short prayer on a specific topic that was prepared by students themselves. And then, everybody turned to the Lord in small groups and asked for the recovery of the sick, for peace in the country and its protection, for our churches, mission service, discipling, etc.

Everyone left for home happy and satisfied!

The next session on Church History is scheduled for April 2022.

Please pray for:

– preparation and organization of the session;

– students to have time to fully complete all their homework;

– health and financial means to come and participate in the session;

Thank you in advance for your prayers and support!
