Within a week young boys and girls from Nadiya Christian Soccer Club studied the role God has predestined them in life. From 25 to 31 July Leadership Youth Camp was held in Zgoranah on Shatsk lakes. The theme of the camp was “The role of of man and woman in family, church and society.”
God has blessed with the wonderful weather and the stunning beauty of the nature around. Every day, the guys could go for a walk in the fairytale forest, swim, sunbathe, play volleyball and communicate. A special feature was the absence of the schedule. Yet relations in the team were so well coordinated that we did everything together and everything was in time during the day.
Boys took cooking ubder their responsibility, and every day they amazed with the new delicious meals. Girls helped with cleaning. Obligatory every evening there was the analysis of the Word around the campfire.
The topic of how God originally conceived a man and a woman was very important. Starting with Genesis and ending with 2 Timothy there was an opportunity to see what the role of each person is in the family, in church and in society. Many of the features and functions individualy of men and women according to the Scriptures were new for guys. Boys and girls rethought their understanding of what they need to strive to be, what God’s plan for them is.

“The theme that was examined in the camp, was theoretically known to me and to many others. Yet, by the grace of God, contemplating and praying, I realized that God gave a vivid example. It was a pleasure to contemplate the character of Christ in these young guys and their mentor. Girls could feel practically that the role of the assistant is not humiliating, but very pleasant. Personally for me, understanding the essence of humility has come to me in the camp in practice (since 3 years passed!!!). No camp could be compared with the number of God’s revelations and pictures to me.”
“Camp in Zgorany was an incredible time, which the Lord gave, where we could relax, have fun and study the Word of God with Nadiya family. Camp theme “The role of man and woman” has showed how great God’s project is and what He planned is really perfect and better for us. When a man and a woman perform their role and work as a team, their lives bear fruit for the kingdom of God. Therefore, you need to work on yourself and your heart now in your families, church and society.”
“You quickly get used to good things. And so you do not notice them. You take it for granted, supposedly another way can not be. And just through time you realize the power of these good things, especially when you’ve lost them. Camp in Zgorany is no exception. Now it seems to me as not super-duper, but over time I will remember it with joy. Well, we never see to the end, how Jesus transforms us. He was definitely there in the camp, by the Spirit. So I thank Him in advance for the camp.”
“A cozy house with all conveniences, pine forest, rich in mushrooms and berries, sun, lake, beach… That’s enough to forget about everything and everyone… but not about God. As people gathered in the name of Christ are the church. It was a joy to have a rest in that environment. The camp, where I was for the first time, was not like the others, in which I had been before. Foor me those things became clear that I had not thought about or thought, but had no opportunity to talk to someone about them. On the basis of my own reflection, I concluded that this camp is great benefit for me and therefore, if possible, I would like be here not just once.”
We thank the Lord for this wonderful recreation and a blessed fellowship in this camp. Thank God for revealing His truth and teaching His Word. Thanks to everyone who prayed for us and supported us.
