\"\" \"\"We do thank to all those who responded to the needs of the church “Light of the Gospel” in Kyzyl, and continue to support this congregation in their prayers. At the beginning of March 2016 the building of the church was partly burnt after the fire broke out. In particular, the roof and all floors were burnt in there to the fullest. The church was suppose to look for a new place to have a Sunday worship services. Baptist church \u201cConsolation\u201d provided us with the sanctuary so we could hold a services there. During the summer time and on the early September, the prayer house was renovated by the efforts of the brothers and thankfully to financial support of many churches. There much work had been done: the walls fixed, floors set, new roof built.<\/p>\n

Previously, the internal rooms did not allow accommodating as many people, so people were standing in the hallway, library and adjacent rooms to the hall. The new roof with a size of 15×8 Meters might serve pretty good as a new sanctuary for Sunday services, but it will be possible for the next year. There are plans for the near future to buy a piece of land and to build on it a new building by bringing to bear the collected resources. Of course, these are just a plans, but we’re praying.<\/p>\n

In 2014, in the family of Victor and Elena Zagvozdkins took place the very exciting event. Their eldest son, Matthew, had entered in the covenant with the Lord through the holy\u00a0baptism.<\/p>\n

\"\" \"\"<\/p>\n

It’s been almost two years since pastor Victor undergone the surgery. Currently he feels all right, and he almost forgot, that the titanium plates are within him. It looks like everything has healed up and started functioning. He almost doesn’t have the shortness of breath and weakness and can work hard enough physically.<\/p>\n

\"\" \"\" \"\" \"\"In September last year, the Lord made it possible for the church \u201cLight of the Gospel\u201d to participate in the project \u201cSuper-book.\u201d To this end, there had been done a lot of preparatory works. We came to terms with the main movie theater of the city, about the show of the new cartoon-series \u201cSuper-book.\u201d Considering our opportunities and access to the public child care facilities, we met with a head teachers of schools in order to invite children to watch it. At the beginning we thought that there will not come as many children, maybe somewhere around 50-100 people, but to our big surprise, a large movie hall was actually packed to the fullest for three days in a row. Victor went outside to look around on what was going on, and he couldn’t believe his eyes, that the children from the three largest public schools in the city, were brought there on the buses one after another. Church was rejoicing and thanked God for this amazing event. The Lord has not just allowed to show the dull cartoons, but before the beginning of the show to recount about the changes in our life, both to children and adults. In the gaps between the series (three series by 20 minute), the sisters sang well-known hymns, glorifying God. According to our humble estimation, there were more than 1,000 children for these three days.<\/p>\n

\"\" \"\" \"\"<\/p>\n

In July 2015, at the anniversary of the city, our church was able to negotiate with the local authorities and to hold an exhibition of engravings by Gustave Dore. The authorities of the local government considered it as a high artwork, and allowed to place it right in the heart of the city, near the main museum. We have been preparing for this event very seriously. To this end, during the exhibition, our brothers and sisters explained the inherent meaning by the artist in the painting. The Lord gave us wisdom, and we chose the best canvases 20 pieces which were showing the scenes from the creation up to the point of the crucifixion and resurrection of Christ, so that everyone would trace the entire plan of salvation. Many people were interested, posed the questions, listened the answers.<\/p>\n

\"\" \"\" \"\"<\/p>\n

There are fellowships for brothers and sisters in the church, as well as a small group. We celebrate a holidays together too. At one of these events, dedicated to the Women’s Day, our sisters set the table and shared the Word about the characters and lives of the wives in the Bible.<\/p>\n

\"\" \"\" \"\"<\/p>\n

06.19.2016 had been held the baptism. We had this event as usual on the banks of the Yenisei. It was held mutually with the church \u201cConsolation.\u201d We have baptized three persons: two brothers and an older sister.<\/p>\n
