There was a camp in July 2022 in the village Zhorany near the lake Big Zhorany. The topic of the camp was: “How to make the right choice?” It was conducted by an employee of our mission, the coach of the Christian football club “Nadia” Oleksandr Honchar. Parents of the young football players willingly helped in all organizational matters.<\/p>\n

14 adults and 12 children took part. Due to the martial law, children went to the camp for the first time together with adults. These were families from one of the club’s six teams – the U10 group. It means that \u00a0boys born in 2012 went to the camp with their parents.<\/p>\n

Recently, on the initiative of the parents of boys from this team, we started group meetings for parents, where we communicate and read God’s Word together. Many of these parents also went to the camp, some started attending services in the local church “Community of the Good Shepherd”.<\/p>\n

This time, our team could not even imagine that the camp in Zgorany would take place, because first there was a pandemic, and then the war began. But the Lord gave us a wonderful time of rest, swimming in the lake, playing football, and studying the Bible.<\/p>\n

Every day in the camp, one family took responsibility for cooking and treated everyone with something.<\/p>\n

And every evening, when everything around quieted down, we sat in a circle in the yard and studied the topic of how to make the right choice.<\/p>\n

We studied the story of King David and Psalm 50. Then we learned what to do when your choices are wrong, learned how to repent, nurture each other, nurture children, learned how to spend time with children. It was a great communication. We didn’t take a lot of photos because we understood that now is such a time that many people can’t afford such a vacation, they can’t even smile because they lost someone in the war. Therefore, we are just grateful to God for His mercy and for the fact that we live in a quite peaceful place.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
