We are grateful to God for our cooperation with reliable partners who, since the very beginning of the full-scale invasion, have stood alongside us in serving people affected by the war.<\/p>\n

Thanks to the active involvement of the Mennonite Centre Charitable Foundation, our volunteer drivers were able to carry out numerous evacuation trips, rescuing people directly from active combat zones. In 2022\u20132023, support centres for people affected by the war were actively operating at churches within our fellowship, where displaced families received warmth, food, humanitarian aid, and moral support in safer regions of Ukraine.<\/p>\n

Aid and Gospel Outreach to Refugees from Frontline Areas in Kamianske<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n

In cooperation with the Mennonite Centre Charitable Foundation, we have been able\u2014for four very difficult years and continuing to this day\u2014to provide shelter and meals at our countryside base in Rivne Region, a relatively safe area in western Ukraine, for socially vulnerable people who were forced to flee from Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson regions. These are mainly elderly and frail individuals, people with disabilities, and those who have lost their jobs and whose homes were completely destroyed or remain in occupied or frontline territories. As a result, they have nowhere to return to and face immense challenges starting life \u201cfrom scratch\u201d in a new place.<\/p>\n

In the spring of 2023, together with the Mennonite Centre Charitable Foundation, we were able to carry out volunteer humanitarian trips to villages in the de-occupied areas of Kherson Region, where people were still living in conditions of humanitarian crisis following occupation and active hostilities. Our partners also assisted with transporting humanitarian aid to our church hub in Dnipropetrovsk Region, which serves as a logistics and support centre for frontline and de-occupied areas. In November 2023, they took part in delivering aid to Ukraine that had been collected by churches in France.<\/p>\n

Helping Internally Displaced Persons from Frontline Regions in Ivano-Frankivsk<\/em><\/a><\/p>\n

With the support of our partners, assistance was provided to internally displaced persons cared for by the Church of Christ the Saviour in Ivano-Frankivsk, a western Ukrainian city that has welcomed many families fleeing the war. In addition, spiritual and educational events were held to support school communities in Rivne Region, as well as trips to a children\u2019s shelter in the village of Oleksandriia. In December 2023, thanks to the support of the Mennonite Centre Charitable Foundation, children from a large foster family of internally displaced persons from the occupied part of Zaporizhzhia Region were able to take part in a winter health camp in Rivne Region.<\/p>\n

We are deeply grateful for our friends\u2019 strong interest in organizing camps for orphans, children currently in care and graduates of residential institutions in Rivne Region, as well as children from internally displaced families who were forced to leave their homes because of the war. We also appreciate their support for sports camps for youth from our Christian floorball and football clubs, and seminar camps for Ukrainian educators. Despite an extremely difficult time, a trip to a countryside wellness camp became a reality for over one hundred Ukrainian children\u2014most of whom would not otherwise have been able to afford such an experience. Over the past three years, through our joint efforts, we have organized 11 camps in peaceful areas of Ukraine, providing rest, recovery, and spiritual support to more than 400 children and 150 adults.<\/p>\n
