Our employee, Ruslana Kovalchuk, had the honor of being a member of the jury of the Fifteen All-Ukrainian Olympiad “Young Bible Scholars,” which took place online at the Ostroh Academy National University from April 28 to 30, 2023.
Preschool children, students of grades 1-11 of public schools, students of vocational and technical schools, and students of higher educational institutions from all over Ukraine took part in the Olympiad. In total, there were 300 participants.
The general theme of this year was “Growing Up As Patriots of Ukraine – The Defenders of Our Native Land.” The biblical support for this comes from the book of Proverbs “Teach a young man his way, and he will not depart from it when he is old” (Proverbs 22:6). The preparation and writing of a written test on knowledge of the Holy Scripture, the performance and presentation of crafts, and the study of biblical texts to reveal the main theme encouraged the Olympiad participants and their mentors to spend a decent amount of time in the Word.
We pray that the living and powerful Word would do its blessed work in their hearts!
