Testimony of Nuria 11.11.12

01God gave me another opportunity to have training in Romania. Brothers and sisters from all over Eurasia were at the training. The Lord has blessed us with His Word.

We studied the Old Testament. This was very useful because I live in a Muslim country. Moreover, Muhammad in the Koran talks a lot about the Biblical prophets. We know that all Scripture is inspired by God, that the Bible - it is our daily bread. Every time, this motivates us to read the Bible again. One might be reading today the same passage as yesterday, and might receive a different revelation from God.

First, we studied the book of Malachi: "Fear God and honor His name." This book showed my condition. I questioned myself in how I am serving while being called a child of God, how I hold to my faith in difficult circumstances.

Secondly, we studied the book of the prophet Zechariah: "They will be my people and I will be their God." I saw again that God has already done everything, accomplished everything. I am His child. Why should I fear? He made the Gentiles and Jews united in Christ. This book showed me the context in which I live and that I do not need to fear, despite all of the difficult circumstances.

In 2012 we had guests in Uzbekistan. Vasil H., Leonid B., Alexander T. and his wife visited us. They support our ministry.

In late July, our friends organized a camp for Roma people. There were a lot of children. Ramadan had just started. So we had to start our camp at 5 pm and finish at 10 pm. This is the only period of time, which we could use. We studied the creation, the first three chapters of the Bible, for three days. Every day new children were joining us.

Some opponents of our ministry were showing up. They were coming and saying: "What is all this for? Again you! "

Many children repented. It is wonderful that Roma children get to know God.

Testimony of Nuria

01 sGod started influencing Nuria’s life when New York lost its twin towers. At that time, she was still working in the security services. In 2001, after the terrorist attacks in the United States, her country was filled with Muslim-extremist propaganda (the distribution of flyers with the Islamic ideology). Therefore, special services launched a raid on the group of extremists (fighters for the purity of the Muslim faith), and a group of Christians.

During one of these raids, Nuria met a group of Christians. She questioned them and forced them to renounce their views. An Uzbek believer made a special impression on her. All the time, he prayed and said to Nuria that he will pray for her. She used different methods of force to force him to recant, but he remained faithful. For such a failure, Nuria’s leadership dismissed her from service. She did not agree with the decision, so she went to defend her individual rights in the capital.

All the lawyers refused to defend her interests. However, one woman, a lawyer, offered Nuria a visit to a lawyer who would definitely help. She also invited her to one of the church services. Under the influence of the sermon on the Word of God, and after few church visits, Nuria believed in Jesus Christ as her own Savior and Lord.

Then she went back home to her family. Her parents, seeing her joy, asked if she got help from a lawyer, and she replied: "I found a lawyer who will always defend me. I believe in Jesus Christ..." In a second, her father poured a cup of hot tea on her and kicked her out of the house.02 s

Nuria did not know any Christians from her native city and did not receive any support from her friends. They did not approve of her choice. Therefore, Nuria lived on the street for some time, anywhere she could find a place. After some time, she went to the capital, where the brothers and sisters in Christ supported her. She began to talk with them, learned, and grew.

Nuria came to known the Lord in May 2004, and she was baptized in August. In 2005, she started to study at the Institute of inductive Bible study. At the same time, she constantly relied on God to get money for traveling and studies.

Time passed and Nuria returned home to witness to relatives about Christ.

In the same time, she met Uzbek Roma people and started sharing the Gospel with them. Gradually a church was organized. And in four years, 12 women were baptized. Nuria continue to take care of their souls. They have regular meetings, as long as she is not being persecuted. By the way, about 2 million Roma people, who are considered to be a lower layer of society, live in her country.

Over the last year, Nuria learned sign language and uses every opportunity to use it to tell about Christ now. Sometimes she has managed to carry a Bible study with the deaf at six o'clock in the morning, so that she does not attract attention of authorities.

Testimony of S. family

The conversion to the Lord

01 s“My grandfather became the Christian in my family first. The Gospel reached all members of my family but me, because I was living far away from family and rarely communicated with them. Thus, I was the last man in my family to believe. My mom repented a year later. Being brief, there is nothing special about my testimony. I had a wild life, but after hearing the Gospel, I started to think about it and to read the Word. It has opened my eyes, so I saw that I am a terrible sinner before the Holy God and dead spiritually. Jesus is my only hope for salvation and the Lord of my life. This happened at my house, while I was sitting on the bed and reading.

My wife repented similar way, through her grandmother just a little earlier. When I came to the church, she was already there for a while. We met in our church. It was late in the summer, and she left for Kiev to study in college. I left to study in Ivano-Frankovsk. This was the last year of my studies. So we were in different cities, but I began to pray that the Lord gifted us with each other.

I really wanted to study in the Christian institution. I started praying about it too. After graduation, friend and brother and I got a possibility to study in Kiev, in the Biblical Institute. So my future wife and I ended up in the same city, and got married in 2 years."

Decision to serve God and the calling

02 s“Back then, we both wanted to go to people who live far away, far from the Gospel, and have never heard about it.

All volunteers from Biblical Institute could go on the practice for 3 months of summer. Even before we were married, my director suggested we go on the three month wedding honeymoon in Siberia, Bratsk. We gladly agreed. We did not care where to go. However, in the last days before the trip, we were told that the others will go to Bratsk, and we will go to Kazan (Tatarstan).

Thus, our first trip had the eastern character. We got to the Muslim nation. At that time, we had a very surface understanding of Islam. But in the marvelous way, the Lord has given us peoples’ disposition and success. We got to love those people, and they accepted us. We committed ourselves even more to work, knowing that we won’t be able to sit still. That trip to Tatarstan was the beginning of our ministry and direction in life for us.

03 sThe following year, we were again invited to Kazan. During second trip, we more closely befriended Zaccheus, and I got to go to Central Asia. Over that time, we have seen how the Lord brought us to the Eastern nations, has given us a love for them, we found a lot of friends. These are people who have a different book. They do not have the truth of Scripture, such as the majority of the Slavs do. So we want to bring them the true Word of salvation in Christ.

We went to minister on south of Ukraine mostly due to the Zacchaeus encouragement. We got to love each other; he was like a father to me. Now we work as a team."

Vision and purpose

"I want to see how the Lord will raise up the church here out of Tatar people, who will be able to multiply and teach others. In the future, the south of Ukraine will send missionaries throughout the East ... We also believe that God can do a lot more than we think and we ask Him. He will do it with or without us ... Of course, we want be a part of it. "

Sincerely, the S. family

I could not make a human out of you

The testimony of a converted Muslim

"I could not make a human out of you. Now you can live as you want, "- said the father, addressing his eldest son. Haz (on a picture with missionary children) really was "difficult", a disobedient child. It was hard for his father, who had many children. His father worked to feed six children and his mother was managing the home.

From childhood, I started stealing. Because of the theft, I was expelled from school. The transition to evening school had no effect on me. I kept having fun with my friends, stealing, smoking, and just wasting my time. At the age of 17, I was convicted for the first time. The court gave me 5 years! I stayed in prison from start to finish. In prison, I was a rule breaker. I was not ready for rehabilitation. I could not count on amnesty or a humane attitude.

After being freed, I continued the same life. It became even more sophisticated, because I started using drugs. Two years later, I was condemned again. At this time, I had to stay in prison for 7.5 years.

Will the world become Muslim?

"I have experienced a strong struggle, did not know what to do. On one hand, I was afraid not to cause panic among the faithful, on the other hand, I was in real danger...”

"Before the Korean church service in one of the largest cities in the area, the electricity disappeared in the room. Therefore, the decision was made to begin the worship with the guitar. Standing by the pulpit, I saw through the open door as the car pulled up by the church. Policeman got out and went straight to the building. A man began shouting with the harsh voice: "What is going on here?" I felt confused, but immediately these lyrics came to my mind:

The evil whispers, "For Whom do you sing?

You have sinned, for this you will die! "

- Yes, I will die, but with a song on my lips:

Farewell my sin, I will be in heaven!
