Young brothers from the church Community of the Good Shepherd in Rivne held a camp for the children of refugees from the Donetsk region, who temporarily live in a sanatorium near the city of Kamianskye, where there is a church of our Association House of Anape. This is the third camp in which the Rivne team is serving. For the first time, we learned that more than 300 refugees from Avdiivka lived in this sanatorium in the spring of 2023. There are many children and young people among them.
About 35 children and 15 teenagers came to the camp. Our ministers say:
“It was cool, fun and difficult. This time, God blessed the team and gave them many brothers. They served mainly children and a few teenagers. They played various games with the children. Very often parents could watch everything they did from the side. They went about their business, but they still saw what we were doing” (Vlad Yarosevich);
“God blessed us to build good relations. We had a good time of fellowship with the brothers and we praised Christ. We returned home tired, but deep down we had a great joy that we served God and testified to people about Christ. I think that there is a need to go to these children again in the winter” (Andriy Kazmiruk).
The pastor of the House Agape church, together with a team from his church, occasionally comes to this sanatorium and continues to communicate with both adults and children. They are always thankful for these camps, care, and words of hope that they hear.
