What is this “energy circle” at the Christian Soccer Club Nadiya?
We are often asked: what is this circle where Nadiya players kneel down before every match? What is actually happening at that moment?
Today, we want to explain it to you.
For us, this is not just a ritual or a superstition. It is a circle of prayer—a circle of conversation with God.
Before every match, we kneel down to remind ourselves that, regardless of the outcome—whether a win or a loss—we turn to God and place the match in His hands.
We trust in His will and His decisions, and we accept whatever He allows to unfold in our lives.
We pray for a positive result in the game and for the health of every player, asking God that no one gets injured.
We pray for Ukraine’s victory and for our soldiers, asking the Lord to protect them and give them the strength to fight.
We ask God to help us remain Christians—and simply human—even during the most intense matches; to show love, respect, and understanding toward everyone around us.
This is much more than just a pre-game motivational huddle.
It is a moment when we acknowledge that not everything depends on us. We trust in God and rely on Him, while we ourselves step onto the field to give our absolute best for the sake of victory.
We do not know what the result will be. But we know *Who* we trust.
That is what this circle means to us.
It is not an “energy circle.” It is not a superstition. It is more than just a team tradition.
It is a prayer circle. It is our faith. It is our relationship with God.
For the Nadiya Christian Soccer Club, what matters most is not just how we play soccer, but who we are—both on and off the field.
We play for God.
