The last month of 2025 was a month of prayer for our ministers in Armenia, with different people and for different needs. The brothers who serve in different settlements of the country met to assess what had been done and plan joint future events. The latest of them was the Christmas services (Christmas in Armenia is celebrated on January 6). Please pray that the Lord will bless them with opportunities to share the Gospel with those to whom He would send them.
And now the new year 2026 has begun, and the Gospel continues to go forward in the lands of Armenia, so your prayer for the Armenian ministry in general and for each need, soul, and family is very much needed. Pray as the Holy Spirit leads you.
Already during the New Year’s meeting, which took place in Mehradzor and was attended by several believers and several unbelieving families, our missionaries Sevak and Nina Parvanyan had the opportunity to testify about Jesus and answer numerous questions from unbelieving friends. These people supposedly do not reject God, but they are not ready to give up worldly life either. We pray that Christ will show them mercy and come into their lives as Lord and Savior!
Brother Sevak regularly preaches in the Yerevan church and once a month visits the church in Vanadzor, where he also serves with the word. In January, after the general service, an evangelistic meeting for children was held there. Thank the Lord that His Word is sown in the hearts of people. We pray that it will sprout and give them eternal life.
Since this year’s winter in Armenia turned out to be very snowy, it was not easy for our missionary D. to get to the village. Sh., where the Rokhlad (Sunrise) church meets, and the children’s club is held, but the difficulties of the road were quickly compensated for by the warmth of the meeting and the joy of Christmas.

In the village of Dimitrov, where Brother Karo Stepanyan serves, in preparation for the Christmas event, children distributed Christmas brochures to their peers in their neighborhood. The meeting went well. We pray that God will bless our children and keep them in the faith.
On January 6, the Christmas event was held in the church of the village of Kakhtsrashen. Brother Araik Stepanyan said that it was a very eventful and joyful day. First, there was a holiday for the children, at the end of which all those present received gifts. After that, the service for adults began, and then a members’ meeting with refreshments.

Among Sevak and Nina’s close friends is a young family with three young children (they serve together in a Russian-speaking small group). Their entire family is a family of believers, except for the husband’s mother. She has heard about Christ more than once. And when her little grandson had gotten sick and was on the verge of life and death, this woman prayed to the Lord on her knees, shedding tears. The situation with the boy united many of God’s children in prayer and reliance on God. The Lord preserved the boy’s life, and he soon recovered. But we encourage you to pray together for his grandmother, so that God may grant this dear soul eternal life in His Son.
Sevak has two friends who once heard and believed in the Gospel, and one of them has even been baptized. However, at some point, they became disappointed and left the church. Regardless of that, both of them maintain friendly relations with our missionary, and he constantly reminds them of Christ, who alone will never disappoint them. We pray that the Lord will find these lost souls for His Kingdom, as did the shepherd in the parable of Jesus Christ.
During the conversation with the youth from Nagorno-Karabakh, an interesting question came up: Do animals have souls? Sevak had a good opportunity to explain, based on the Book of Genesis, why God created animals and people, and the center of the story was the birth, crucifixion, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
During Bible study groups, individual classes, and home visits, biblical instruction and heart-to-heart conversation are always combined. Then people open up the most and share their prayer needs:
- Sister Anna is having difficulties in her relationship with an unbelieving husband; she asks for prayer support.
- a Yazidi woman has cancer, is undergoing treatment, often feels unwell, but hopes for God’s help; she has a ten-year-old daughter;
- another believing woman constantly prays that the Lord will protect her son, who is serving in the army, and strengthen his faith in such difficult circumstances;
- At the beginning of the year, we visited families who suffered during the war in 2020: some lost their husbands, some their fathers, brothers, and all of them lost their homes. Please pray for the young widow Lilit, her husband died after the war on the border. The woman is raising three sons on her own. To take care of the children and, at the same time, provide for the family financially, Lilit often works night shifts, and due to such a busy schedule, she cannot always attend church.
- There is a request to pray for the daughter of sister Goar (a Yazidi woman), so that she will recover after being brutally beaten by her husband, so that she can take care of her children, and that God will soon unite this family.
Another woman from Germany joined the online meetings with Yazidi sisters conducted by brother Karo. Although she believed in Jesus and fell in love with the Word of God, her husband forbids her to meet with believers, so she does it secretly.
Upon arriving in Armenia, this woman had a meeting and a long conversation with our minister. Please pray that during her next visit, she will be able to get baptized.
At the end of last year and at the beginning of this year, brothers Karo and Araik Stepanyan visited 18 families with humanitarian aid (they put together packages with clothes, shoes, hygiene products, and also placed spiritual literature and Christian calendars). In many homes, they were welcomed, people listened to the gospel message, and shared their needs. At the end of each visit, there was always a call to accept Christ as a personal Savior, and each time, there were souls who prayed and entrusted their lives to Jesus.
Our sister Nina Parvanyan is diligently, selflessly, and faithfully engaged in women’s ministry. Together with the sisters, they created a prayer trio and constantly pray for this ministry and for the needs of women. At regular women’s meetings in Yerevan and Masis, good and deep conversations take place based on biblical examples of women. At these meetings, the sisters and invited women can take away many practical lessons for their personal and family lives. At the end of the year, they had the opportunity to answer several summary questions, and almost everyone said that they needed a deeper fellowship with God, wanted to take practical steps to read the Scriptures more, and spend more time in prayer. Pray for God’s guidance and blessing.

The church in Kahtsrashen continues to hold services in various places, since it does not have its own house of prayer. Thank God, the hearts of the church members are open, and they gladly welcome brothers and sisters into their homes. But to expand the ministry and invite non-believers, it is important to have a house of prayer. Therefore, the need for funds for renting and heating the premises, purchasing musical instruments, and transportation remains. We believe that the Lord hears our prayers and will answer this need of His children.
