Christ is Risen!
Through the misunderstanding and betrayal of the disciples, the mortal struggle in Gethsemane, mockery and scourging, the shameful cross and the tomb in the cave, the history of our salvation triumphantly advanced to that Sunday morning that we now sing and celebrate.
“Why do you seek the Living among the dead? He is not here, for he has risen!” (Luke 24:5–6)
He is Risen Indeed!
And although “Why do the nations rage and the peoples plot in vain?” (Psalm 2:1), our King is on the throne, therefore “let us rejoice and be glad, and give glory to Him…” (Revelation 19:7)
