Regular football season requires regular pre-season training. And what place is better for the sport development than the Carpathian nature? This summer God has blessed Christian football club “Nadia” with the opportunity to conduct a training camp in Polyana, Transcarpathian region.

Footballers of younger and middle groups were training physically and spiritually within 7 days supervised by the adult team members. Despite the heat or rain workouts were productive and in a friendly match with the team from Kiev CFC “Nadia” won.

Topic of the morning and evening meetings called “Believe in victory!” We have discussed questions about what it takes to win, what are the obstacles to it, what is the price of victory and if we are ready to pay it. Comparing sports victory with spiritual children heard the Gospel every day. We also praised God in songs and played different games. An amazing blessing was to watch how children put into practice the knowledge acquired in the classroom then at the household level or at the football field. A striking example of God’s work was the situation, when one of the younger players from the team, which won a free trip to the pool after the mini-tournament, decided to give his ticket to the boy from the losing team. This act has impressed all the coaches and the club’s president O.Gonchara so much, that both teams went to the pool for free.

Besides Bible lessons and trainings children had active rest and personal conversations with instructors. We could see how God works with children’s hearts through the guys, who were themselves participants in these camps a few years ago, and now they are full-fledged members of the church and ministers in the team. Special members of the camp were two families who came to the camp with children and listened to the Word.

Sincere gratitude to the Lord for this incredible time in the camp, for the opportunity to proclaim the Gospel and for the devoted hearts, that are ready to serve. Thanks to everyone who prayed for the camp, and supported us financially.

Please pray for the children that they would seek the Lord from the small age and continue to built relations with Him after the camp.
