On August 28-3, our department of Christian ethics held a camp for educators from different regions of Ukraine, which, according to the participants, became a real spiritual breakthrough. The program was prepared in such a way that we held a Bible seminar on the textbooks “True Relationship with God” (On the topics: 1. Sin has destroyed the relationship with God. 2. What is sin? 3. Where does the sin lead me? 4. There’s hope – The Gospel 5. Christ died according to the Scripture 6. Christ rose according to the Scripture).

In the morning and evening, we had services where we were worshipping God by singing and listening to the preaching of the pastor from one of the missionary churches of our Association Serhiy Kyrylenko from Ivano-Frankivsk, as well as testimonies of teachers from different parts of the country (Mariupol and Cherkasy, Ternopil and Sumy, Odessa region and Lviv region., Poltava and Rivne, and others). The highlight of the camp was the unplanned participation of a family from the United States, Vermont – pastor of the Baptist Church Scott and his wife, doctor of medicine and psychiatry Teresa Cionciollo, who adopted two twin boys in 2015, children with disabilities from an orphanage in Odessa.

The camp was attended by 37 teachers from different regions of Ukraine (Rivne, Poltava, Cherkasy, Sumy, Mariupol, Ternopil, Odessa, Uman, Yuzhne, Odessa region, Tuchyn, Rivne region). The organizers prayed that God through the team would show His love to the participants, so that they would bring all the glory to our Lord Jesus Christ.

According to those who have been in teachers’ camps before, they liked the camp, there was no formalism and there were really lively, sincere relationships “in truth and with love.” Those who were in the camp for the first time, shared that they “experienced Paradise,” and did not want to go home…

As we had the last evening together, many expressed their warm words of gratitude to God. There was a proposal in 2022, in addition to the summer, to hold a spring camp for teachers in March, during the school holidays. People left with a strong motivation to be doers of the Word, and to convey the Word to children in schools, kindergartens, as well as to convince directors of educational institutions of the need for the subject “Fundamentals of Christian Ethics” in all educational institutions…
