In the darkest season of the year, when our nation is experiencing the most difficult time of war, amidst the darkness of sin and deception, this holiday sheds Heavenly Light into our hearts.
Two thousand years ago, the anticipations of God’s people and prophets came to an end: “The people dwelling in darkness have seen a great light, and for those dwelling in the region and shadow of death, on them a light has dawned” (Matthew 4:16).
This true Light is Jesus Christ, the Son of God, who took on Himself a human body and came into the world as a Child to become the Bread of Life, Living Water, and Eternal Salvation for all who believed and accepted Him. He alone can give us true hope, peace, and love!
The tragic events of world history tell us about the consummation of another anticipation – the second coming of Christ to earth is approaching. So may the joy of Christmas overcome all our earthly concerns and sufferings and grow into a joyful readiness to meet our King.
Christ Is Born! Praise be to Him!
