… and we beheld his glory (John 1:14)

Thank you for following the Hope to People Ministry news. With hope we are trying to tell the adults and kids the gracious Word that we got in our own hearts by the mercy of God Almighty.

TEN COMMANDMENTS FOR CHILDREN

Workers of the Hope to People Ministry as well as young volunteers from local churches ran a six-day camp for children and teenagers from Rovno in July. The camp theme was on Ten Commandments. About 42 kids and 20 team members arrived in Zalesye.

Most kids were not from churches, they were invited by believing friends or relatives. It is very nice that the church youth served the kids.

Children had general meetings where they sang, listened, and learned to pray. The camp participants were split into the groups of 8-10 where they learned God’s Word under the leadership of young men and women.

WHAT IS REAL HAPPINESS?

The Annunciation Church (Sarny), Zvyagel Church (Novograd-Volynsky), and Word of Grace (Vancouver, USA) ran a camp on Real Happiness in Zalesye in the middle of July. During six days, 128 participants studied the beatitudes. The main purpose of the camp was to teach both those born from above and non-believers God’s truths and the Gospel. It was happening thanks to the sermons about happiness that is possible only with God through faith in Jesus Christ.

CAMP FOR ORPHANS

Workers of the Hope to People, ministers of the Second Presbyterian Church from Memphis, USA, and the team of Christian volunteers ran an outreach sports camp for the orphans of Ukraine in July.

Forty four children from different orphanages in Rovno region were brought to a Transcarpathian village of Polyana.

Every day children were able to hear a sermon about qualities of Jesus Christ, had Bible study lessons in small groups, learned to praise and thank God through singing and prayer, did crafts, had sports, enjoyed the wonderful nature and local attractions.

We believe that the sown Word will bring much fruit in its time and our hearts are filled with thankfulness to each of you, dear friends, for your prayers, support, and participation in this ministry!

WORD TO A TEACHER

Editorial Staff of the magazine Word to a Teacher is thankful to God for the blessings and a publication on the new third issue in 2018. The magazine has an increased circulation of 2,500 copies.

The main theme of this issue is on Christianity and Politics. Unfortunately, modern politics for many people is an empty pre-election promise, populist statements, fabricated sensations, etc. Many take it for granted. But it should not be this way!

In the magazine, one can read about God’s requirements for politicians and the ways to overcome corruption, about fulfillment of the ninth commandment, solution to the conflict situations, and many other things.

PERSECUTED FOR THE TRUTH

After a short break, a young minister from Central Asia is returning to one of the closed regions in Eastern Asia for the second time. He is going to serve the non-Christian nation in a society that is hostile towards the Gospel. Thanks to this ministry, there are first saved people. Please pray for him, his wife, and his little kids, for a successful relocation, and settlement.

The nation he serves to is not reached by the Gospel and lives under oppression of occupying authorities of the other non-Christian nation. Therefore, each new saved person risks being subjected to double persecutions by both relatives and the government. The prayer need is for safety of the ministers and strengthening of local Christians in faith.

NEWS FROM CENTRAL ASIA

Our co-workers that serve in Central Asia have brought the encouraging news about creation of a real unified area in Asia.

The neighboring countries opened their borders and now they try to develop good neighbors’ relations. They encourage development of small and medium business and one can tell that common people have high spirits and joy.

We asked to pray for sister who is very sick. Many people responded to support her. Please keep praying since, unfortunately, she still cannot get her visa to leave the country for the treatment.

NORTH IS WAITING FOR ITS MISSIONARIES

Ministry in Yakutia is our first missionary project in 1989 and in 1994 our team established the mission Gospel to the East there. At first Slavs were saved and later also Yakuts, Evenks, Chukchi.

We prepare a family that has an experience of serving in the north to send to the long-term trip to the town of Nyurba. There are 23 settlements within a radius of 500 km (310 miles) where the Gospel has not been proclaimed.

The conditions there are very hard, there no roads at all. One can travel from village to village only using winter roads and on a specially equipped transport. We kindly ask You ti pray for this project.

WORK IN THE FAR EAST

Our ministers are very busy now. In June they participated in the training process at the International Counseling Institute for students from different regions of the Far East.

The church in Vladivostok ran the annual camp consisting of four sessions: work, youth, children, and church. Baptism took place on the 1st of July.
God enabled to visit other towns and villages, to testify in a remote village. In previous years the missionaries from the Hope to People served in the nearby villages located in the wilderness of the taiga. Nearly all residents were covered.

Please pray for the people that live in this region, for strengthening of the ministers in their relations with God and for spiritual power for them, for wisdom regarding the church development, for the camps, for the ministry to the people of Udege in the village of Gvasiugi.
