Most of the mission’s staff work from home, but we continue to pray about our friends around the world. We are thankful to God that our missionaries and ministers are alive and well. It is God’s mercy!

so let your light be shining before men, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven

Mattew 5:16

Blessings of Arctic Spring

Our ministers covered thousands of miles with mission trips around Yakutia in March and many people of the north were able to hear about Jesus Christ. Our minister Andriy along with a team of Yakut brothers finished their outreach trips to all 23 villages of their district. It is a special joy because the Lord has blessed fulfillment of the outreach plan 100%. Praise Him! In the late March they were able to go to the Arctic Circle to the Arctic Ocean. Using two SUVs they covered 2,889 miles during 13 days. Yakuts, Evenks, and Dolgans heard about Christ.

Chinese Church Prays for Us

Our friends from there encourage us not to fear or be in despair, but to look at this time as an opportunity to serve God, family, and people around. The quarantine in China is somewhat softer, but the control remains strong. Every move is monitored and registered, your body temperature, is sent to the database. People returned back to work. The high school has already been reopened. Churches still hold online services, the situation is getting better, and now they are praying for other countries.

News from the Far Eastern Russia

Mykhaylo Kucherenko is doing his best to encourage believers and mentor all as it is in other parts of the world. There have been more frequent calls to church from unbelievers. Mykhaylo is working on a ministry strategy during the quarantine, is establishing online services and assistance to the needy. In March, Yuriy Morokhovets visited the village of Gvasyugi where he spent some time with Sergiy Piskalov and delivered humanitarian aid to the needy people of Udege from the church in Vladivostok. After a long illness and treatments, Sergiy has lost his job. The brother is praying and will be fasting about his future. Please, remember Sergiy in your prayers.

A Quarantine in Poland

The freedom of movement in Poland is very restricted now and any gathering is forbidden. From morning till night the news reports a rapid increase of new sick people and those who died. Police as well as military patrol the streets. Believers have their services at homes and of course they communicate through the internet. Our minister Oleksandr visits people at homes and see a huge hunger for church gatherings, Bible study groups, and just meetings. As a pastor, he uses every opportunity to encourage, support and keeps praying that the Lord will allow their church to start ministry in Polish. It is a great time to share the Gospel now. Oleksandr is willing to sign up for a volunteer to help fight Corona virus. Pray for this possibility.

A Magazine for Ukrainian Teachers

First issue of the Magazine Word to a Teacher was published at the beginning of March, 2020. Its theme is A Modern Look at Christian Virtues. The magazine’s articles bring a reader to a conclusion that Christian virtues remain very important. They do not exist separately but are inseparable from the Source. Jesus Christ God’s Son is this Source (Rom. 11:36).By God’s mercy and thanks to volunteers’ support, we were able to finish work on a new website for the magazine Word to a Teacher https://slovovchitelyu.org/.

Sharing the Gospel Among the Teachers of Rivne Region

Our worker Ruslana Kovalchuk has presented the exposition of pictures of famous artists on Life of Jesus Christ twice a month. She presented the magazine Word to a Teacher before educators as well. It took place on March 5th at the Rivne regional institute of postgraduate education before the teachers of Social Sciences and on March 12th at the meeting of teachers of fine arts. Please pray that the sown Word will grow in the listeners’ hearts.

Ministry to the Librarians

Bible study group takes place every Monday, but it was through Skype in the second half of the month. The department staff spend a lot of time calling people during the week in order to encourage them and pray together. People need Christ the most, therefore we pray for salvation of those who have not dedicated their life to Him.
