Rainy weather is never a hindrance to organize a sunny holiday. On February 23 in Klevan special comprehensive boarding school for children with visual impairments was the Day of autumn-winter birthday for students of 1-7 grades.

To glorify God, to remind children, who gave them life and to make them happy – these were the goals of celebration organizers. It involved employees of IPO Hope to People, folk theater Galatea, as well as members of Community of the Good Shepherd Church and Grace Church from Rivne.

Holiday for children began with a reminder about Who gives us life, Who has created us, and why we are so different. Children happily sang about God’s love, drew names of months, in which they were born, played games and competed for prizes. An extraordinary surprise for children was a performance of stilters and “live” sculptures from theater Galatea. Teachers and educators also enjoyed the holiday and were really happy for children.

What birthday party goes without presents? At the end of celebration children received unusual flowers and gifts. Their smiles and sincere excitement inspired holiday organizers to hold the Day of spring-summer birthday in May.

We thank God that He has sent on our hearts to serve these children and teachers, to have the opportunity through celebration to bear witness of the Gospel. God has blessed us with the wonderful team that helped to organize everything. Pray for these children, that they have accepted Heavenly Father as their Savior as early as possible. Also, pray for the teachers, as they are engaged in education of children.

Praise the Lord for His great mercy and grace!
