The arrival of the Consul General of the Republic of Poland Mr. Slavomir Misiak is a solemn event for our school community. We are always happy to welcome a distinguished guest and are preparing something interesting and unusual for Mr. Slavomir.

This time they decided to prepare a quest for him, and each class came up with its own task.

On November 8, 2024, we met the guest of honor, greeted him, and… the quest began! I want to note that all assignments sounded in Polish, and the answers, too.

The first-graders decided to become familiar with the guest, to ask about his daily work in such a responsible position. Mr. Slavomir willingly shared about his life.

Entering the classroom of 2nd grade, he immediately met the demanding and incorruptible “Mrs. Police”, who tested his knowledge of traffic rules. A road sign was flashing on the screen – and he needed to explain its meaning.

Later, a mysterious surprise awaited our guests. The third-graders hid fruits and vegetables in the boxes and offered Mr. Slavomir, with his eyes closed, to guess what was lying there with only the touch of his hands. The children were so happy when they heard the correct answer! And finally, they sang him a wonderful song.

– No one has ever welcomed me like that! – said Mr. Slavomir enthusiastically.

So everyone went to the kitchen. Mr. Slavomir was met there by fourth-grader cooks. They prepared questions related to the preparation of the apple pie, which, as it turned out, was the guest’s favorite dessert. And of course, the young chefs treated Mr. Consul to their pastries.

The fifth grade met the guest with questions about knowledge of the Word of God. He got the highest score and we all cheered for him!

The last quest location was on our floor, which still looked like a construction site. There, our guest met with 6th-grade students, who suggested that he form words from the letters he received at each previous point. These words are THANK YOU!

We sincerely thanked our dear guest for the friendly visit and for the beautiful and relevant gifts: fiction, teaching aids for learning the Polish language, and maps. Mr. Consul highly appreciated our children’s knowledge of the Polish language, which we have been studying since the 1st grade, as well as the work of the school. And we are very grateful to him for such feedback.
