Greetings, friends!

We all long for and wait for peace. However, peace in this world is something fragile and temporary, and every time new trials weigh us down and snatch our peace.

The Bible points to the true source of peace—God’s peace. This peace surpasses all understanding because it is hard to even imagine how you can remain calm when everything around you is falling apart. We are called to bring the message of the One who gives such peace to this world. Please take a moment and read about how our ministers share peace and hope with those in need.

Peace
I leave with you,
my peace
I give unto you:
not as the world giveth,
give I unto you.

Visiting Military with the Good News

On March 27-30, brothers Arkady Slyoza and Vyacheslav Arterchuk again were on a trip to the military in the Donetsk region.

The trip to the East actually began with a trip to Khmelnytskyi, the residents of which prepared many delicious treats for our defenders, in addition to what was purchased in the city of Rivne.

Thank God that he saved soldiers from different units and our brothers met with everyone to whom help was to be delivered. It was a good time for communication, evangelism, giving aid, gifts and greeting cards on the occasion of the Resurrection.

Evangelism to Children

In March, members of the Department of Christian Ethics, Arkady Slyoza and Ruslana Kovalchuk, held an exhibition of paintings “The Life of Jesus Christ in Works of Art” in three schools of the Sarny community. On March 6, in the gymnasium of the village. Glushitsa and in the elementary school of the village of Strilsk (grades 1–4 and preschoolers). On March 11, at the lyceum of the village Gorodets.

On March 13, they visited the lyceum of the village of Kolodenka, Rivne district, with the exhibition. The teacher of Christian ethics organized a week of spirituality in the school, and the key event was our exhibition and Bibles as a gift for children and adults. Pray with us that the Lord will bless the listeners of the gospel and give them the desire to read the Bible, Christian magazines, and other spiritual literature in order to know our Savior Christ!

Learn to Teach

In order to effectively teach others, a teacher of any subject must constantly improve their level of education and their professional skills. This is also very important for teachers of spiritual and moral subjects.

At the beginning of March, an employee of the Christian Ethics Department, Ruslana Kovalchuk, completed advanced training courses for teachers of spiritual and moral subjects at the Rivne Regional Institute of Postgraduate Pedagogical Education and the Wisdom Gymnasium in Dubno.

Ruslana Kovalchuk also attended the webinar “The Superbook Is Your Assistant in Preparing for Easter.

On March 12-18, the Lord gave a wonderful opportunity for brother Arkady Slyoza, the head of the department of Christian ethics, to join the students of the Bible Institute to study the course “Why Is God Angry?” based on the books of three prophets: Micah, Nahum, and Habakkuk.

Svitoglyad School Influences the Community

We honor the memory of the great Kobzar, Taras Shevchenko, who would have turned 210 years old this year. In Svitoglyad, students drew portraits of modern Kobzar and recited his poems to the bandura melody.

It all started with the dream of 3rd-grade students to help the military with the purchase of a night vision device. Students drew a poster, placed an offering box in the school, and opened a jar for donations.

March 21 is World Down Syndrome Day. Students of Svitoglyad also visited a school for children with disabilities to tell them: “Despite your differences, we are next to you.”

Our young scientists visited a real chemical and pharmaceutical laboratory. They had the opportunity to try to be a pharmacist’s assistant and worked on molecular scales. We had a good chance to get some experience in the production of ascorbic acid.

As we had the morning time with the pastor, each class participated in the recreation of the Easter story. Biblical texts came to life. Children staged the events of Jesus’ life from his entry into Jerusalem to his death on the cross.

Ministry to Refugees

Due to the aggravation of the situation at the front line, in the spring of this year, we observed a new wave of refugees from the eastern regions of Ukraine. New people have also arrived at our campsite in Zalissya. Together with those people who have remained there almost since the beginning of the war (because they have no place to live), there are now about 50 people there.

We are grateful to God that we can not only shelter the homeless, feed the hungry, and provide psychological and physical help, but also spend time with these people around the Word of God. The gospel, like healing oil, is abundantly poured out on their wounded hearts, and we hope that in due time it will surely lead them to salvation.

Since our campsite was designed for short-term camping activities, and not for the long-term or steady stay of such a large number of people, there is a need to improve sanitary conditions and equip additional premises for personal hygiene. That is, the financial need for this ministry is great, so we ask everyone to support us, who feels that God puts it on their heart!
