Under this title, our Christian floorball team held a winter sports camp in the Carpathians. We had 51 participants in the camp. We had an opportunity to study a course on the Gospel of Mark “Experiencing the Touch of Jesus.” This was somewhat of a medical theme, and all mentors had some roles – we even had an ophthalmologist, a psychiatrist, and even a pathologist.

During the Bible lessons, the camp participants together with their mentors read the Gospel of Mark, and God touched their hearts. It was a special time, and on the last evening of the camp, the team members had conversations with those people who feel that God is doing something in their hearts and that the Word is working and it is changing something inside them.

In the morning we studied the Word, in the evening we played games and listened to the sermon.

Here are the reviews of some teenagers and young people:

“I am very glad that I visited the camp. I am grateful for His Word, God touched my heart and I realized that I am no longer capable of resisting His will, and for that, I am grateful to Him.”

Valentyn, Zaporizhzhya region

“I really liked this camp, although there was no snow, this is not so important, because there were a lot of other things. We had a lot of communication. What touched my heart was the passage, in the first chapter of Mark’s Gospel, when the preacher highlighted Christ’s words to the leper. And when he was asked, he says, “If you want, you can heal me,” and Jesus says, “I want! So if we approach Christ, He will tell us, “Yes, I want to help you.”

Ilya, Rivne

“I was in this camp as a mentor. I had already seen the materials that we were going to go through. I happened to translate this course, and when I read the Gospel of Mark, at first, it seemed that I had read it many times and myself conducted various lessons for children on it, what new insights can I get from it? But I was deeply touched by this topic. I saw in the camp how Jesus touched everyone: the mentors, the leaders, the assistants, and everyone who was in the camp. And that was one of the coolest themes when I saw how Jesus touches everyone. And it was a lot better than the good weather or any entertainment. Therefore, thank God for this!”

Bohdan, Rivne

“I came across the church Community of the Good Shepherd about a year ago, and from that time on, God began to work with me, work with my life, and began to open my eyes. He showed me who I am, what a sinner I am, where I am going to end up, in what place, and that it is a very scary and bad place. The next time God touched me was during an inductive Bible study class. He changed my mindset and made the order in my head, and gave me answers to my questions that I did not know. Jesus touched my heart. It happened at Sky camp. I thank Jesus very much that He did not give up on me, and that He had mercy on me and my soul! I’m very grateful to Him!”

Dima, Rivne

Praise God for this time! It was really nice to be together and sit under the preaching of God’s Word! Our mentors preached the Word in simplicity. We can’t change people’s hearts and we can’t change people’s lives, but Jesus can! In the camp, we saw how the Word influenced and changed people. And we want to believe that these were real changes that will be seen later and that these teens will grow and bring glory to Christ. Thank you all for your prayers!
