Campaign “Share the Bread”
Students of the Svitoglyad school, in particular, student cooks from the 6th grade, joined the good cause and prepared delicacies for our defenders. Adults and children united to knead not only dough but also drops of love, support, and deep gratitude.
Pastries went to our defenders to bolster their health in the military hospital!
We thank the organizers for a good time together in a cozy atmosphere and the incredible aroma of freshly baked pastries.
Christmas Quest “On the Way to the Manger”
The students of Svitoglyad obeyed the director’s order to take a population census throughout the Svitoglyad’s empire and, together with the biblical characters, set out on an unexplored journey along the “Road to the Manger.”
We became acquainted with King Herod and visited his palace. Oh, and the question was prepared by Herod! I thought that our students could not carry out the task. And they, as always, were surprised with their erudition.
Also, on their way, they met a wise man with his task “with a star”: they put together puzzles that reflected the story of Christmas.
Then the children met the angels… What a song! The students sang along with joy! Each team even wrote their own praise song.
The shepherds, having met the students, shared their stories. After all, they were among the first to hear the Good News, and they gladly took it to their homes. It was warm and delicious for everyone by the fire! The shepherds offered the children sandwiches with chocolate, cookies, and fried marshmallows.
Finally, each participant of the event colored their gingerbread cookie, visiting the people who were expecting the Savior.
The “Road to the Manger” was full of adventures, sometimes it was even dangerous, but it led everyone to the place where the Born Savior was!
Exhibition of Children’s Crafts “Born in a Manger”
Each boy and girl recreated the Christmas story with their own hands. Students’ creative handwriting and refined taste are captivating. A deep understanding of the essence of Christmas – the birth of the Savior – prompts us to praise God.
Mission Trip: Christmas in Europe
On the eve of Christmas, a large group of students and teachers of the Svitoglyad school, led by its principal, went on a mission trip to the German city of Kiel to share the Good News with the residents of Europe. The Free Evangelical Church and the Ukrainian Evangelical Church of Kiel invited them to take part in the Christmas event “The Greatest Gift.”
Children prepared a festive program. The glorification of the Born Son of God solemnly sounded in the church, as well as high up in the mountains during the excursion to the waterfall, and in the heart of the city of Strasbourg, after all, you only need to cross the bridge to get to France from Germany.
A meeting was held with the mayor of the city of Kel, Mr. Wolfram Britz, during which they talked about cooperation in the implementation of joint cultural and educational projects.
The friends took people from Rivne on a walk around the city and organized active recreation on playgrounds for them.
The participants of the trip are sincerely grateful to all the families of immigrants from Ukraine for their hospitality, for the open doors of their hearts and homes, for their care and comprehensive support. They thank God for the possibility of experiencing the festive moment of Christmas without air-raid alarms!
This year’s Christmas holiday was forever etched in their hearts. They took away fond memories, bright impressions, and festive atmosphere with them, and left sincere gratitude to their dear friends. Distance doesn’t matter when there is a kinship of soul!
Charity Concert “Give Christmas”
The students of Svitoglyad organized a Christmas party for children from the “Lifesong” social day center: they prepared the play “Come and Bow,” together with their parents they prepared a delicious treat and made gifts with sweets for the little guests. It was a good time when our boys and girls were able to serve orphans and children from families with difficult life circumstances, and they, in turn, thanks to them, were able to feel the tender touch of Jesus Christ and eagerly sing Christmas carols together.
Receiving gifts is very pleasant, but giving is even better! We teach our children to see the needs of other people, to show mercy, to participate in charity, and also to practically imitate the Lord Jesus Christ. Because “the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve others and to give His life as a ransom for many” (Matthew 20:28)
Ghillie Suit for Fighters
We try to get children involved in volunteering. Today, one of the most popular and required types of volunteering is weaving camouflage nets or ghillie suits, because our defenders are in great need of them. That is why we have created a platform for this type of volunteering at Svitoglyad, where our children bring victory closer with their own hands and can feel that they are helpful.
