The new year of 2024 has been very busy for the SKY floorball ministry. We played in three competitions – at the beginning, in the middle, and at the end of January.

At the beginning of the month, two of our teams in the category of children under 15 participated in a small tournament here in the city of Rivne. And God gave us a nice gift because both our teams reached the finals, in which they played for the cup in these competitions between our teams.

After that, we had a senior team trip to the Edge Christian League Cup in Lutsk. Mentally and physically it was not easy due to a very tight schedule, because we were already focused on the event, which we will talk about later. But God gave us a good time together, as well as gave us both victories and defeats.

At the end of the same month, a much more serious test awaited these same teenagers and children in the form of the 2nd round of the championship of Ukraine, which took place in Lviv. There, our boys and girls experienced three losses and one victory. But it was a time when the coach talked to them a lot about the greatest victory we have in Christ and because of His sacrifice for us.

The very next day, the team left for another event, which took place on January 15-20 in the Carpathians. It was the main event of this month and probably the entire year for our ministry, SKY Camp. This year it was called Voice, that is, “Voice”, because we studied the topic: “Listening to the Voice of Jesus” based on the Gospel of Mark, chapters 7-13. Every day we had a study of the Word in the morning, a sermon in the evening, and an evening program with games and decorations that unfolded the theme of the day. It was especially interesting on the last day when we played the game “Life”, which runs parallel to our daily life with its problems, joys, and temptations and which unexpectedly ends before the time everyone expected. And then eternity, either in hell or heaven (for those who believed the voice of the evangelist and the pastor, who were also in the game).

Every day we listened to the voice of Jesus and on the last day we heard that He would return to take His own and judge those who did not believe in Him. We saw beautiful processes in the hearts of teenagers and young people, their tears, and heard the deep thoughts on this topic. A week later, we gathered again in Rivne to immerse ourselves in the atmosphere of the camp and talk about how the voice of Jesus that we heard in the camp is visible in our everyday life at home, whether we heard it and followed it.

Thank God for this time and all these processes! We ask you to pray for the hearts of all the participants of the camp and all those who serve in the club so that the voice of Jesus that they heard penetrated their hearts, and called them to follow Him and they became true followers of Christ.
