The season of fall for the floorball club went by pretty fast, but it was a very very fruitful time. Traditionally, in September SKY Club started its training in Rivne schools. Every year, a part of the children is eliminated, so each school year begins with the recruitment of a new set of children. The team of coaches negotiates with the school administration and conducts floorball practice in physical education classes. After that, new children come to the club, and some of them hear the Word of God and the Good News about salvation there for the first time. Then they are invited to the grand opening of the floorball season and regular training two or three times a week.

The children feel like they are part of a big sports family and are training hard to further participate in the Edge Christian League competitions, which were held this year in the city of Ternopil. For the coaches and fifty children, it was an exciting journey and a valuable time not only in terms of the game but also concerning relationships and sharing the gospel both in words and deeds. The competition is a great platform to elaborate on the victory of Christ over sin against the background of gambling to get a prize.

At the end of the fall, for the first time in the history of the SKY Club ministry, the students took part in the championship of Ukraine in floorball among juniors. Teenagers went to Uzhhorod for the first round of the championship of Ukraine among children under 16 years of age. And on the first day of the competition, God blessed the team with two victories at once. The following morning, one of the coaches shared with the players about a meek and submissive heart, using the example of Christ’s heart. The next game turned out to be very difficult, in which the opponents played very unfairly. It was a great opportunity to practice what they talked about before the game, and to ask Christ to give them a meek and humble heart.

The coaches of the floorball team thank God for the opportunity to serve children and teenagers through sports and to share the Good News with them.
