This year, in Poland, the summer came just right after the winter, so we, together with brothers decided to do the spring clean-up and to clear off the church site from all this clutter around the building where we come together to worship our God.

It was pleasure to do this yard work in the open air, and then to snack with fried sausages. This is a wonderful opportunity to build relationships with each other, as well as with the pastor of that church. Brother Pavel and his wife Valya treat us well, and are pleased with our cooperation. Here, at this place, we pay much less for the rent than in the previous one, and we use their inventory and there is a prospect, if the Lord allows us, to develop on this place new ministries.

Now, for example, we plan to organize here once in a couple months, so-called romantic evenings for couples. The idea is that husbands and wives could spend two or three hours together in quiet romantic atmosphere – drinking tea with a cake, participating in some interesting contests, listening to what the Bible teaches about various issues concerning the family. We want to invite one or two unbelieving families to start building relationships with them. The place where we meet now, allows us to implement this project. One sister from our church wants to deck out the hall. We pray that God will bless and send laborers for this ministry.

Good weather and weekends for the May holidays gave us the opportunity to organize a long-awaited picnic, where there were a lot of people. These are members of our church, and those who have been visiting our church for some time, as well as friends from other churches in Warsaw. There were guests from Ukraine, too. This is a family from the church Source of Life, Zdolbunov. They served us at the Sunday service, and then stayed with us on the feast.

The Lord gives me new strength and the opportunity to continue personal discipling with several people from our church. This work is going on with both believers and non-believers. Actually I’m planning to start working with two or three non-believers, but I couldn’t start it yet because of the certain obstacles. Basically, we did not meet yet because they do not have much free time, although they are eager to get together for it. I pray that the Lord will help me to overcome this obstacle, because I see great value of such disciple-making.

Our church life is running real smoothly right now. Recently, at a church membership meeting we accepted one more family. Now, there are 14 steady members in our church. Sunday worship service attend around 20-30 people. Two more Christian families, who have recently moved to Poland, are visiting our church for some time and maybe will continue to attend our church. Besides Sunday services, we have brothers’ devotional breakfasts, the Bible study in small groups, and women’s meetings. We are also preparing now for the summer outreach activities, for seminars, and for the church camp.

Please pray that the Lord will give more dedicated workers to the church, and we also look forward to see the concrete fruits from these church activities! Pray that the children of God will be more passionate and eager to work on God’s field!

Lovingly,
Your brother Alexander Ilyin
