The Education Department of the IPO “Hope to People,” together with the First and Second Presbyterian churches of the United States, with the participation of the team from Thailand (10 people) conducted the camp for students, graduates of the orphanages in the Rivne region, using the program “Your Exciting Journey Through the Bible.”

Students from Ternopol, Slavyansk, Zaporozhye, Rivne, Zdolbunov, Nikopol, Odessa, Klevan, Lutsk, Dubno came to the camp. (They are graduates from orphanages of Mizoch, Klevan, Tuchin, Alexandria, Verba). The winners of the Ukrainian Olympiad “Young Experts of the Bible – 2017” were invited to the camp.

The week was rich and blessed. The Lord prepared the hearts of the members of the team to serve students so that they could understand and accept the Word of God. Every morning before the seminar we were reading the Book of the Psalms, in the evening John (USA) and Moo (Thailand) were preaching. The testimonies of the team from Thailand were filled with God’s love and mercy. Evening and morning worships were held in different languages (Russian, Ukrainian, Thai, English). We also had very interesting activity of making crafts. Students opened their hearts to God. There were 5 people repented in the camp: They are from Nikopol, Ostrog, Lutsk Zdolbunov and Rivne.

Here are some students’ reviews:

“At this month I visited very good camp, which I found enlightening for myself. In the camp I had an opportunity to draw closer to God … since I was here for the first time, I was very afraid at first, but very quickly I realized that everyone here is open and sincere and there is nothing to be afraid of … I am very grateful to everyone who organized this camp for God’s glory! “

“How wonderful that is that young people can be together all week in fellowship and meditation on the Holy Scriptures. In fact, this is a great blessing from God, because you can find new friends, travel together to different places in Transcarpathian region and, most importantly, glorify the Lord through morning and evening services and Bible lessons… This camp encouraged my spirit… I would suggest every person to go to this camp, especially those who want to find God and understand how to be happy in this life…”

Eugene K.

This short letter was written by one of the participants after the camp:

“I went to the church and found new friends there. After the camp I read a Bible you gave me. Hooray! Finally I have the Ukrainian Bible. It is much easier to read and understand it. I miss you, after the camp I got a little sick, but, thank God, I feel better now. I draw and go to the courses. I am a leader in the youth center, we hold many events there. We have a team of hospital clowns – we started going to the hospital for children, to entertain them and prepare for the operations… “

Masha, a student of a medical school in Lutsk

We thank to everyone who prayed, donated funds for the camps and the orphanages. We would like to thank to the mission “Light at the East” for literature (Bibles, New Testaments, magazines “The Path,” and disks), which we could use to bless the camp participants.
Please pray for students who have accepted the Lord into their hearts, and for their further spiritual growth. Pray also about winter camp for orphans and orphanage graduates with the participation of teams from America and Thailand.
