In 2015 our organization “Hope to People” received Christian magazines “Nadezhda” (Hope). We are able to distribute them to the people, who come to our mission to get humanitarian aid. People are grateful for a good magazine, they take it, and God can work through it with their hearts. There was also an opportunity to present the magazine to the Tax Inspectorate worker, she was glad to see its name, because her name was also Nadezhda (Hope).

Once God gave us an unusual meeting with a strange woman. Her name is Natalia. There was a problem in her family: her daughter in law has given birth to a premature baby, who was very weak and was on treatment in a serious condition. Natalia asked her daughter in law to seek on the Internet some charity organisations to visit and ask for help. And God led her to us…

We were glad to get acquainted with Natalia, to talk to her, to listen to her story. It turned out that she is familiar with some believers, that she has heard of the evidence of God’s action in the lives of His children, and that she’s open to talk about the Gospel. We were able to pray with her, to give her family the financial support and to invite her to the church meeting. After that Natalia has visited the service for several times, and we could support her family in prayer. We believe that the baby is in the hands of God, and for Him nothing is impossible!

Because of the events in the East of Ukraine a lot of families from Donbass have moved to Western Ukraine. God gave the opportunity to our mission to get acquainted with these people and to serve them in their social, emotional and spiritual needs. In particular, this year God gave us humanitarian aid from the Church in Vancouver. It included things of personal hygiene, food, stationery, clothing, etc. It is this humanitarian help, we could serve immigrants from the east with, as their needs are currently expanding from the clothes to documentation for living and public financial support. It was a good opportunity to build relationships with them, to communicate, to invite to the general worship to church.

One man, who is also a resident of Donetsk region, has moved to Rivne and has been looking for an evangelical church. God led him to us. He fought in the east of Ukraine, but after he had been reserved, he came here. Now he lives in our mission, visites morning prayers together with the employees, as well as Sunday worships.

Although today Ukraine is experiencing not the best of times, our Almighty God, in view of these circumstances, touches the hearts of people, and encourages them to seek Him because of His love and His pain is the salvation of souls.
